Most importantly, these stories show how these successful people stopped the negative thinking in and always believed in their dreams which led them to achieve their goals effectively.

The first speaker for the success story launch was Jody Ballard, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Wellness Coach and Motivational Speaker and Strategic Wellness Systems. She involved getting 44 women to cross the desert from Al Ain to Abu Dhabi for six days and to celebrate heritage and women’s achievements.

Jody mentioned that we are social people and we need other people that would encourage us to do our best. She listed the challenges that they faced in their walk from Al Ain to Abu Dhabi and she also mentioned that the reason of this walk is to bring women together.

The second speaker was Dorian “PAUL D” Rogers, Award Winning Poet, and Founder of Rooftop Rhythms. He introduced “The Abu Dhabi International Poetry Festival”, an event organized by his Rooftop Rhythms poetry platform together with BrandMoxie.

He started his speech with a poem which was followed by a brief story about his life. He told the audience that he succeeded in America because of the poetry shows and then he moved to Abu Dhabi in March 2012 to teach the government schools. Three years later they averaged 250 people per month for each poetry show. He mentioned how to build effective relationships with other people by correctly understanding and applying the concept of collaboration.

The third speaker is Omar Al Busaidy, Unit Head of Abu Dhabi Experience Development, ADTCA. He spoke about the launch of his book “Just Read It,” which is a collection of insights about emotional and social intelligence.

He studied in the American University in Dubai and he used to work in different fields and study throughout his entire time while he was doing the BA degree. He also had different businesses during that time which unfortunately weren’t really successful such as an adverting agency, a wedding dress shop and the Connection Middle East Company. However, he partnered with his friend, Wael Al Haj, and ran a salon in Jumairah, Dubai called W Gents.

When asked about what people could learn from his book “Just Read It”, he said that he does not expect his readers to learn from the book, because it is all about things that they already know. So they either learned about these things from school or learned them at home. However, he ‘Omarized’ it – that word meaning he just said it in different way based on his point of view and his past experiences in life.

The night ended after the speakers shared their success and motivational stories that inspired people to set their goals, achieve resolutions and to establish their priorities that will lead them to achieve their aims for 2015.
